Packet Pick-up Locations
Friday, August 9 from 10:00am until 1:00pm at the SHHS Foundation Health Fair located at the Huron Street Pavilion
Friday, August 9 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at Dyckman Park, located downtown, next to the South Haven Visitors Bureau/Huron Street Pavilion. In case of rain, registration will be held under the Pavilion
Saturday, August 10(Race Day) from 7:00am until 7:40am at Riverfront Marina
Timing
The 2013 Blueberry Festival Run will use the ChronoTrack timing system. The ChronoTrack D-Tag is inserted under the shoe laces and records your time from the moment you cross the start line until you reach the finish line. Each participant will receive their shoe tag along with their bib number. You must wear the tag on your shoe in order to be timed. No tag; no time.
**Please note: participants cannot use their own chip; you must use the disposable tag provided in your race packet.
Race Results
All runners will have a QR code on their race bib. Within minutes after they have crossed the finish line, racers can scan the QR code and access their race results. Race results will also be posted online at www.classicrace.com. Paper race results will be posted at the Marina for viewing as well.
General Race Information
No dogs, bikes, skateboards, roller blades, or scooters are allowed on the course. For safety purposes, walkers should line up behind all runners at the start of the race. Push strollers and wagons are welcome for the 5K walk. Any walkers attempting to run during the course of the race will be disqualified.
Slower runners should line up toward the back of the racers.

Gear Check
A “Gear Check” station will be located at the Registration area on race day. You can check your personal items prior to the race. Your bib number will be used to check your items.
Weather Information
Visit South Haven Health System or the Blueberry Festival on Facebook for the latest up-to-date Blueberry Festival weather information. We will race in the rain; however, if there is thunder and/or lightning, we may need to delay the start time or cancel the race. The race will not be rescheduled and registration fees will not be refunded if cancelled due to weather concerns . You may request your t-shirt be mailed to you in the event you are unable to pick it up beforehand.
NEW COURSE this year!
The races and walk begin onthe corner of Eagle and Kalamazoo Streets.. The course winds through the newly renovated Williams St./Old Harbor area and downtown, then through quaint neighborhoods where you can catch glimpses of Lake Michigan. The final stretch takes participants on Monroe Blvd., heading west onto Erie Street, where runners and walkers then head west down the hill to South Beach and finish the race along the Black River on Water Street.
About the Race
The National Blueberry Festival 5K Run/Walk has een a part of the festival since its inception 50 years ago. South Haven Health System has proudly sponsored this race for many years, with our Foundation taking over the race three years ago. Funds from the race allow the Foundation to carry out its mission which is to serve those who are economically disadvantaged, as well as our neighbors and our children, through free health screenings, affordable health care, and access to professional services. Thank you for joining us for this wonderful event to benefit the Foundation. Best wishes for a great run/walk!
Awards:
A brief awards ceremony will follow the final race of the day. We encourage you to stay for the ceremony to pick up any medals/trophies you may win.
Prizes Medals will be awarded for:
5K Run: Top three male/female finishers in each age group (14 different age groups- see entry form)
5K Walk: Top three male/female finishers in each age group (3 different age groups- see entry form)
10K Run: Top three male/female finishers in each age group (14 different age groups- see entry form)
Trophies will be awarded to:
5k Open male and female runner (overall winners)
10k Open male and female runner (overall winners)
5k Masters male and female runner (40 years old and over)
10k Masters male and female runner (40 years old and over)
If you do not attend the awards ceremony but you placed in your division, you should contact Kim Wise at kwise@sh-hs.org or 269-639-2805 to schedule pick-up/delivery of your medal. Due to size, trophies will not be mailed…you must pick it up in person either at the awards ceremony or at South Haven Health System.
Michigan Fruit Belt Series
The Michigan Fruit Belt Series is your chance to participate in helping “Grow” the fruit industry of Michigan! As the country relies on much of the great fruit from Michigan, your participation will help promote Michigan’s great fruit and its growers to the surrounding states.
A 2013 Michigan “Fruit Belt Series” Commemorative Coin Award will be given to qualifiers who post a finish time in five (5) of the following Michigan “Fruit Belt Series” runs & walks…
